Don't tell me about the board of directors or ownership or anything else. Content- the content of the channel. Tell me how we're being played by what is being broadcast.
FoxNews is the conservative source which reaches the largest number of people.
Most youtube channels reach a limited number of people. I had grown tired of Carlson's manner, but he was doing some good, and now he's gone. How does that help us?
For the most part, I don't see you participating in conversations about the conditions in this nation, jljones. When I do see you pop your head into a thread dealing with such subjects, it seems like you're frequently telling us that we're fools, and, by extension, that you are above it all and therefore wiser than the rest of us.
Tell me where you expect people to go.

Since then he has been ramping it up and I've been wondering just how long Fox would let him get away with it. Now we know.
Yup. Fox is just controlled opposition. They dropped their mask on election night Nov 2020.
It has been night after night of content attacking wokeism, globalism, DC, questioning the Ukraine war, the covid racket, you name it.
I think Fox was leaning on him to curtail his attacks, as well as censoring his content. He probably didn't abide and they got tired of it.
I don't think it had anything to do with the Dominion settlement, although that's what the pundits will try and make it look like. If that were the justification, he could have been fired anytime before or after that suit was filed.

Interesting. Were it a lesser personality I would have assumed it was because of his e-mails criticizing management. But I haven’t known Rupert to summarily execute his #1 prime time draw over something like that. Maybe closed-door shenanigans?

He may not like it--probably doesn't; I don't--but he knows it's so, and knowing is the first step in coping with it."

We don't 'know' he was fired...
Tucker has FU Money and may have said just that, and left on his own accord, not willing to compromise principle.

Really dumb move by whoever is running FNC now. It appears that there is a purge of conservatives going on there, Bongino last week and Tucker this week?
I haven't watched them since November 2020 and this only reinforces that I made a good decision.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Not surprising. With the leftist Murdoch sons having more and more influence over the old man's empire, Fox has been drifting away from the right over the past few years. I never really watched Tucker or FOX in the past few years, but it seems that across all corporate media, there is little appetite for independent voices.

And who is at the helm? One of Rupert's lefty sons.

This.
Was he the perfect "news" entertainer? No, he had flaws without a doubt. I stopped watching Fox on a regular basis years ago, but I have viewed many of his clips. Not only was Carlson on "our side", but he was the highest rated personality out of the cable "news" outlets. I really hopes he goes someplace where he can continue his work.

Supposedly Lachlan has political views similar to Dad but James is more of a leftist type. It could be that Lachlan is steering things in a RINO direction. Probably aligning with the likes of Nikki Haley, JEB, Pierre Delecto and Lincoln project wankers.

The “news” portion of Fox News basically breaks even. Good news broadcasts and not ultra lefty but just doesn’t make money. Tucker had huge ratings and Fox opinion host shows ( tucker, Hannity, gutfeld, et. Al). Make up the bulk of fox revenue. Due to their ratings obviously. I can’t even stand Hannity any more and watch tucker and gutfeld on YouTube. I listen to bongino podcast daily. He has some great insight and hints at inside info he knows from his buddies who are still active secret service. Will be very curious to see how this shakes out.

Same, Bongino is still plugged in, to some extent, with DC happenings... Was sad to see him leave too. He only had a 1hr show on Saturdays, but he showed up for commentary on a lot of other shows.
