I am very impressed. He makes it look easy to to have a conviction based on reason, to articulate the basis for that conviction in a respectful, deliberate and forceful manner and really to sum it up by leaving his opposition with nothing but 'ya, but so are you'.

I sincerely hope he has the support of his party.

My kind of politician, hope we see a lot more of him in the future.

That was very good, hopefully he wins the senate seat - the country needs more men and women like this.

After being very impressed by those two videos, I came across this speech which must have been made during the time soon after he was first elected. The topic is one which many here will remember well.

He makes me proud to be a Virginian again. (It's been a while. )

That guy, needs to be groomed and fast-tracked to higher office. The GOP would be smart to surround him with competent advisors and shield him from the hatchet jobs the Dems will no doubt begin to throw at him.

Now that is the kind of individual I want representing my interests in government.

I used to live in that district. My best friend still does. Culpeper is squarely in the crosshairs on the Suburban creep of DC. Currently I’m on the border....turn left out of my neighborhood...dairy farms...turn right...full on urban sprawl. In another 10 years, maybe 20, where I live will be squarely within occupied NoVA

Which is why I bought my house on a hill and am getting out. If I have to live in this area it will be on my terms.

Which should remind us: along with tossing in some more funds (as we are able..) to the NRA, let's not forget our state associations. They, and state delegates like Mr. Freitas are even more so engaged in the fights going on in the trenches.

He is running against Tim Kaine for the Senate. I do not live in Virginia anymore but Mr. Freitas will be receiving a donation from me for his campaign. There are very few politicians who impress me these days,but he does.

He is quite refreshing to hear. I havnt in my life time heard a dem who could speak with such integrity.

I've never donated to a politician in my life, just sent him a few $ and left a note telling him to send that smarmy Kaine packing!

And he comes to the gun shows. He was at the last one in Chantilly the day I was there gathering signatures and shaking hands. Cool guy that I will gladly support.

He seems like the kind of warrior we as a nation need. I hope he advances rapidly and remains true to his word.

I don’t know him personally, but a very good friend of mine knows him pretty well and speaks highly of him. He’s former SOF, just the kind of leader we need in the Senate. If he every runs for POTUS, he’ll get my vote in a heart beat.
