What do yall recommend for reliable, or at least reasonably reliable, internet news websites that are not USA based. Hopefully impartial, if that even exists any more.

I seem to recall France 24 from some time ago but I figure things may have changed.

Thanks!

The DailyMail. I have the app. DailyMail had this story early-on:

“Republicans tear into Big Tech after NYTimes confirmsHunter's laptop”
https://mol.im/a/10624901

But hadn’t been watching the news much until the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Some of these are US-based, others are not. I have researched them all for bias and reliability. Other than as noted: They land somewhere just right or left of center in their bias, and all have good reputations for accuracy.

In no particular order...

National and International News & Opinion

Reason Magazine (libertarian)
Cato Institute (libertarian)
The National Interest
Politico
The Hill
Big News Network
Gallup (also polling info)
Hot Air (far-ish right-biased)
Deutsche Welle (English-language German site)
The Jamestown Foundation
The Atlantic Council

Special Interest, Blogs, and Podcasts

Bullshido
Cdr Salamander (have no clue who this is, but looks interesting)
The Institute for the Study of War
Military Times

The BBC have developed a pronounced left wing bias, and the Daily 'Heil' (Mail) is renowned for their rabble-rousing and crappy reporting.

GB News with the redoubtable Nigel Farage is pretty good nowadays.

CDR Salamander was practically required reading when I was on the Navy staff in the pentagon. Retired Naval Officer who pulls no punches, or at least he didn't when I was reading his blog years ago. I'll have to check back in and see what he is writing these days.

Daily Mail usually has some fantastic pics of whatever they are covering, but be careful with the captions, they are sometimes wrong

The DailyMail is a rich source of well-reported news articles that don’t pander to the woke leftest horde.

Many crappy articles too, but I can filter those out quickly.

I check the UK Daily Mail every day like I had Drudge(BLECHHH) for years.

They often will break American news before our outlets do, going to more detail about the stories, they cover things our own corrupted news media will censor or ignore.

I've been going to this site more often lately. Thier opinion pieces tend to be more conservative than not.

I don't read big media aggregators who are gatekeepers of what they think you should know. I use a social media app on my lap top and have a number of credible sources who frequently report stories two weeks before they appear in the normal mass media.

It's why I can post something so leading edge it gets deleted - yet, now, three weeks after one was, we know for a fact that there are biolabs in the Ukraine which were seeking gain of function with pathogens and financed by the US. We knew Hunters laptop was genuine when it first came out, and the major press reaction "its Russian disinformation" made years ago is now "uh, yeah, it's authentic."

If you are looking to get news from any one news media, it's compromised. "We are the news now." is how it's really working.

Have you seen the new meme? Posts a pic of an Eastern European national flag suggesting it's how pedophiles recognize each other online. I'm going to suggest that the next NEWS! will be the human trafficking thru that country. It's long been known as the East/West gateway - centuries old. It's not really news, it's just the under 55's learning history and being surprised.

Keep an eye out for why Russia banned dozens of US officials from entering their country, the reasons are to be released soon. So far, those sources haven't been wrong, they have just been attacked relentlessly. Like, asking Psaki about Hunters laptop the day the NYT confirmed it knew it was authentic all along.

If you are looking to anything resembling the 6:00 news you are limiting yourself to the Administration's press corp, not independent journalists. That ship sailed in 2008 and the fawning over Obama then was so bad it even sickened the few remaining journalists. You won't get those insights from the newer propaganda corps - you need to ask those who read it living it. But their are links if you bother or are tired of being spoon fed the approved narrative.

Some people think 1984 was a dystopian novel of some unrealistic future time. And Star Trek had personal communicators and computers that could call up historical archives, how imaginative. Check your six, the future crept up on you.
