Excellent. The winds are favorable for us. I noticed how the article incorrectly stated how Bruen “expanded” gun rights- the rights already exist- Bruen limited the government(s) powers regarding guns.

Expect a hue and cry from the left about the devastating destruction they claim will follow.

The Cheeseman v. Platkin decision has much less to do with existing PA firearms law than it does with creating a circuit split at the appellate court level. Maybe in a rare moment of intellectual honesty that court looked at Bruen, looked at the constitution decided they didn’t wan to get overturned by the supremes and ruled the correct way.

That’s my thinking as well, ElToro. I would guess as a judge it looks bad if your ruling gets overturned on appeal.

Do judges keep a "not-overturned" record, like prosecutors do a conviction record?

It is my understanding that all the laws that were reversed are in effect. It is the state's responsibility to overturn them; in the interim, they are all legal currently.
I know the gun-hating politicians of New Jersey will file quickly, and then have to sit on their hands until a court decides whether they should overturn this decision, which is highly unlikely. To all the assholes that are politicians in the state of New Jersey. FUCK YOU!

Unless the Supreme Court stays the 3rd Circuit judgment, the Circuit's ruling is now the law in this circuit.

The state laws remain on the NJ and DE books, but they're unenforceable.

If they appeal wouldn’t it just get lumped into the 2 cases the supremes have agreed to hear next year but have been combined ?
