I cannot begin to describe what it was like driving this thing......

...the 200 yards or so from the dealer to the hotel. Razz Gonna make an early start tomorrow for PA to get the solar stuff installed. Hopefully the traffic won't be bad.

Was it not long enough by itself so you had to throw another ~15' or Jeep behind it?

Nice rig, have fun!

Congrats, nice setup- you’re giving me ideas. I’m tired of pay $6000 a year for taxes and insurance on a house I own. I’m considering buying a lot and parking an RV on it to live in so the county/city can’t tax me (they can tax the land but it will be minimal since without a house the value will be low). Insurance on an RV/motorbike has to be cheaper than insurance on a house in a hurricane prone area that I currently live in.

Big Grin Not the longest one by a long shot. I think 42' or 45' is the longest they get. Mine is 35'.

Call the CO, check the zoning. 99.9% odds you will find out that you cannot live full-time in an RV on a vacant lot. Perhaps you can for a certain number of days, like say 21 out of a 180 day period. Perhaps you could apply for a 6mo or so RV variance (like would be issued during home construction), but to just park it and live full time? Nope.

If rural, you probably won't get caught, nobody may care. But it wouldn't last too long in any somewhat populated area. Some busybody would rat you out.

Congrats! I know you've been researching and wanting one for a while!

The first time I drove mine (a 40' Class A), it was a windy way in New Mexico. The stretch of road from Cline's Corner to Carlsbad I probably had a 30MPH consistent crosswind. I was advised to fill the fresh water tank to lower the center of gravity. It's an adventure!

Enjoy and keep us posted with your adventures!

45’ is the longest. Unless of course you are going to go with a converted semi trailer like Simon Cowell.

Tomorrow is moving day heading up to MN for a few days to visit relatives, then over to SD.
