You really want to shell out Bose money to sweat in them and wear them in the rain? I just couldn't bring myself to parting with that much cash knowing how mine would get abused. So I went on a quest to find a reasonably priced earbud solution. Here's what I found. Buy almost any wireless earbud on Amazon that has replaceable ear tips, pull off the basic ear tips, and replace them with a pair of Comply T-series Isolation memory foam tips that fit. These tips will totally seal off your ears providing great sound suppression. They'll also allow you to run your music volume much lower, also protecting your ears. I;ve used these tips on $30 earbuds, and they've worked out great for mowing, and or construction work. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. I use the Jabra 65t for running, and while I like them, I don't think they offer a lot of sound isolation.

^^^^ Good point. I use them when at the gym, so I wouldn't know their ability to block sound as well. "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. I've contacted them and they suggested the BE-1C. That's $350 for a corded set of earphones. I am going to reply to ask about wireless as I'm kind of hard on wired anything.

You’re wrong, I think. Apple AirPods III, the newest model, have soft silicone cups for an effective noise seal and secure fit. Three different sizes of cup pairs are included in an AirPods III purchase. Serious about crackers

I prefer a cord. These are what I use, they sound swell, and block out a lot of noise. I can comfortably wear them all day and don't worry about sweat or rain. https://www.amazon.com/Etymoti...id=1583856425&sr=8-2

From a safety perspective, is it prudent to have music playing over your ear-pro? Traffic, bystanders, etc?

No traffic to worry about on my ranch.

I have had a wired pair of Shure earbuds (with an iPod Shuffle) for over 10 years that I wear for mowing grass. Came with compressible foam ear tips & they work great for reducing noise. “Agnostic, gun owning, conservative, college educated hillbilly”

I mow 2.5 acres with a Kubota gas zero turn. I have historically worn Bose QC15 connected to my iPhone. I just bought a pair of AirPod Pro earbuds to test. My headphones get knocked off by low hanging branches occasionally. I have a strap that will attach them together. 6 weeks and I’ll know if these are the best. I've had good luck with the Bose Soundsports. Not sure about the blockage of sound in DB though... -------------------- I like Sigs and HK's, and maybe Glocks

I went to a local audiologist and he said he could do plugs but they don't make anything with a speaker in the ear protection. The Bluetooth version of the Big Ear hearing protection are $700 and that's just out of my price range. Tonight, I decided to try the bone conducting headphones to use with earplugs. Now I'm not going to say they sound amazing or anything like that but they work and I can hear music or podcasts while running the mower. I'm actually quite pleased with them.
