I need to buy travel insurance for one person for an overseas trips lasting 7 weeks from July to Sept. Any recommendations on where to look, what to get in coverage, etc? I started w/ AAA, and their quotes start at $414. Also, I don't understand what their deposit dates mean, so I just went w/ today's date to start to return flight date. | ||

The plans I've looked at so far, medical care & evacuation are included as part of travel insurance. Destination is Western Europe, mostly in France. | |||

Medical evacuation insurance is not all the same. I would think about getting a separate policy. It is short money and I would not do a major trip without it if you are anywhere near a third world country or a hard to get to place, like Alaska, Antarctica etc. | |||
