Hate to say it, and I sincerely mean that, but, that's pretty much where I'm at

Two of the guys I hung with in high school were black. Never thought of them any differently than my white friends. One of my closest friends in my late 20's and early 30's was black. Never thought of him as "black," but, just as my friend.
The leftists and black activists are increasingly causing me to look at blacks differently than I ever did in the past, and not in a good way. Or at least not in a "good way" as defined by Rev. King--which is to say as individuals, rather than blacks.
You're allowing these idiots to dictate your thoughts and attitudes. They have zero alignment with King other than they share the same skin color; no different than King compared to Marcus Garvey. If there's a struggle, it's amongst fellow blacks, having to go through constant generations of cultural upheaval and redefining its own ethics and beliefs. Each generation as they become adults push aside the former, if not denouncing them for 'not doing enough'. Fearing being left-out or, not being 'cool', the older generation gives-way, acquiesces to the younger generation while seeing their efforts get trashed because it 'wasn't enough'
King, W.E.B. Du Bois, Fredrick Douglas these guys were about legal equality, living together with other races and cultures. Garvey was a black nationalist, originally tapping into a Pan-Africanism ideal, the 60-70's radicals like Carmichael, Seale, Angela Davis, etc. mixed that in with the Marxist-Communist ideal that was spreading to undermine Western societies, this further articulated their belief for a separate society. Pilgrimages to Cuba and parts of Africa was not unusual and serve as the inspiration, today's groups look not only to establish a black nationalist ideal and ethic of racial superiority but a belief in reparation, forcing private enterprise and the public sector to adopt their views of the world and society at-large.
As before, these people are toxic, not just to our way of life but, they are culturally bankrupt.

Sig2340And then there is
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee who introduced a bill to combat "White supremacy" by criminalizing certain forms of hate speech.
Highlights, courtesy of
Foxnews.com.quote:
Under Jackson Lee's bill, a "person engages in a white supremacy inspired hate crime when white supremacy ideology has motivated the planning, development, preparation, or perpetration of actions that constituted a crime or were undertaken in furtherance of activity that, if effectuated, would have constituted a crime."
The bill would impose criminal penalties for anyone who "published material advancing white supremacy, white supremacist ideology, antagonism based on ‘replacement theory,’ or hate speech that vilifies or is otherwise directed against any non-White person or group, and such published material," if it was "read, heard, or viewed by a person who engaged in the planning, development, preparation, or perpetration of a white supremacy inspired hate crime."
Teatwaffle.

NOCkidThe local news ran a brief story about a meeting that was held to address Hamilton's remarks. One idiot actually tried to justify Hamilton's condemnation of "Whiteness", explaining that it was a reference to white supremacy/structural racism rather than white people.
