Wait, what? |
I’m sure that’s because the savages in charge understand that information getting out that isn’t good press is better left unreported. That our MSM isn’t trying to pry doesn’t shock me either. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Afghanistan is the asshole of the globe. It really shouldn't count for anything. The only thing they produce that anyone wants is opium. The only reason we ever cared about it was that we had troops there. Now that there out, it can go back to being a backwater shithole that no one cares about.

Damn, the Taliban is really taking a page out of CCP playbook......of course they probably already have ChiCom advisers on the ground. If ChiCioms are interested in Afghanistan, it is due to: 1. Rare Earth minerals 2. Opium to keep the western nations hooked on drugs. Just check where a lot of the fentanyl is coming from. 3. Staging Proxy attacks against their enemies. The ChiComs have been playing the long game. They are playing Go while at best the western nations are playing Chess (Trump was the first to play hardball with them and they wanted him gone) but the most part, playing checkers.

Huge lithium deposits. All these e-cars need lithium for their toxic batteries that cost $20k to replace. 1 Guess on who we will get to deal with for buying lithium… if the GDC’s in this country look the other way while slaves make their Nikes and iPhones, they surely won’t mind about the conditions used to mine their car batteries.

Taliban weed about to attract millions in foreign investment CPharm International (ECI), a German research and development firm, has said it is planning a multi-million-dollar investment in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, with the aim of producing weed for medical purposes. Following an unfortunate case of mistaken identity in late 2021, Vice media agency tracked down a German company, CPharm International (ECI), which has struck a deal with the Taliban. Last year, a tweet from the Afghan Ministry of the Interior claimed that a firm called “Cpharm” had met with Taliban officials and would invest $450 million in Afghanistan to set up a “hashish-processing” operation. The media wrongly identified a small Australian medical consulting firm of the same name; they vehemently denied the link with the Taliban. blah blah blah... I very recently moved a number of evacuees. It was neither sprinkles, nor rainbows. It is neither out of sight, nor out of mind for everybody.

Seems that the talib are back to their old methods of spreading the word.... https://eurasiantimes.com/tali...afghan-china-border/ It never ceases to amaze me that here we are into 2022, and there is STILL a seemingly inexhaustible source of young men desperate to impress the world by publicly blowing themselves up. It is hard to think about just how sad that is.

That was the common thinking until rare earths like lithium were found up in them thar hills. Lithium is used in EV batteries, and the Chinese are taking over just like Iraq to control the government and mine it for their production. We needed to be kicked out to keep from interfering. As if their poppy production wasn't getting US troops as armed guards for years. In a strategic sense, abandoning all of our equipment there up armed the locals and they are much more resistant to Chinese bullying now. It's back to corruption as the focus of the international insurgency there.

Many on both the Left and the Right were happy for the U.S. to get out of the country NOW! Neither seemed to have had any good reasons for their wish other than that the top leadership of both sides evidently thought it was a way of making political points with their supporters, but that’s frequently all the reason that’s been necessary for innumerable really bad political decisions throughout history. I like to think (delude myself?) that a President Trump would have backed away from his announced intention by using either the excuse or reason that the Taliban wouldn’t have fulfilled their side of whatever agreement was reached, but of course there’s no way to know that now. What turned out to be the important thing was the announced plan. As a consequence I believe that unlike other unwise political decisions that one side or the other can use to beat the other side with, a lot of people on both sides are more than content to just ignore what’s happening there and what the future obviously holds lest some of the rest of us start asking why it happened. And the ignoring is strengthened by the Left’s control of most of the BS media and because it was the current Administration that actually ordered and oversaw the humiliating rout. As mentioned above, though, The Wall Street Journal has been willing to swim against the current to a limited degree with their articles on conditions in the country, i.e., the plight of women, etc., so relevant news isn’t totally unavailable. ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. Americans still there I'm sure if they're not dead or beheaded by now. Human rights violations probably with the general population. But, there's Flurona, Ghislaine and other diversionary news to be concerned about. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

I admire your enthusiasm tatortodd, and hope that your hopes turn into reality. My belief (based on cynicism and limited information) is that the ChiComs' lack of value for human life will make their mission there easier than the U.S. policy on sparing civilian casualties where able, etc. Basically I think that if you don't really care who dies to get what you want, you're already in the cat bird seat. I hope I'm terribly wrong. ________________________________________________ "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom.
