DrDanOpen Google in a new tab in your browser. Does the upper right-hand corner show you logged in under your existing account? If so, click on that and under your account name is "Manage My Account." Clicking that will take you to where you can change your password.
If the Google page does not show your account, there should be an option to choose a Google account, and then follow the above steps. If your password is really mucked up, you may need to use a recover password procedure that they should suggest.

SpinZoneOpen google, com on your desktop and select gmail in the upper right corner.
Put your gmail address in the login box and then select the forgot my password option under the password box.
Answer the question/follow the directions. It will depend on how you have set up your gmail account, rescue email, security questions, to determine how you will be directed.
After you change your password and can get in to gmail on uour desktop, on the iphone, go to the app store and download/install the gmail app. Login to the app with your current gmail address and password.

0-0I run gmail on my iphone using Gmail app, for some forgotten reason, i gave up trying to use iphone’s built in client with it. Have several other accounts on the default client but not Google’s.
When dealing with stupid people stick to what you know. If it ain’t broken…
Changing passwords just because is a no go. You probably had an issue to fix instead of start shuffling your constants around.
Do the password recovery dance. Good luck.
