Never forget the rules of gun safety, especially when showing off your gun.

A Detroit man fatally shot himself in the head early Sunday morning while, according to preliminary reports, showing off his gun.
According to police, a Hispanic male aged 30 shot himself in the head at 12:15 a.m. on the 1700 block of Vinewood. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medic who was called to the location in southwest Detroit.
"It was reported that the victim was showing off the gun and playing with it when the gun discharged," a brief from the Detroit Police Department states.
