Hate to rain on your parade but it looks real bad for the shooter.

Way it works this far south, the defense will show the shooter murdered the two thieves.
The mugging had already finished when the bag changed owners and the new owner was trying to leave the scene.
What follows is an act of pure agression as the bikers didn’t threatened the shooter’s life anymore.

Disgusting, but that’s just the way it is.
Less that can happen is that the shooter will have to pay for Police protection, read grease some palms, for a very long time so the Chief will keep the victims family and friends away.
Best case scenario, the whole family will have to relocate.

The only winner will be the Lawyer. Penal Law attorney’s cost fortunes.
