I am trying to find a very specific CD.
Sleeping Giant - Kingdom Days In An Evil Age

I bought the album off EBay and it arrived today. Take a look at the back cover and it is missing a number of songs in particular the song I purchased the album because of. Now, this album cost me $14 so I am not worried about returning that one. But found it kind of strange it was missing tracks.

So I put the old googly to work and turns out there are NINE versions of this album and very few have the track I am looking for.
I have found a listing on eBay for a used copy that is $32. It says with Extra Tracks. There is no photo of the actual album, just a generic image of the front album art, there is no picture of the back of the album, in the full description there is no track name or number listing. But it says free returns if you are not 100% satisfied.
I sent the seller a question asking if this particular copy had the specific track I am looking for and I get this canned response:

Though I have been wrong in the past.

I would love to take my business elsewhere but this is the only copy I can find that seems like it will have the track I am looking for because it says extra tracks and it’s pretty much double the cost of all the others I can find.

You tried to ask them about it. You did your due diligence. Return it.

No, I don't think it is wrong. Especially given their return policy and canned non-response. You'd think it would be easier to answer some questions vs. take something back

I hope that since they’re too busy to answer questions they won’t be too busy to process a return and refund your money.

Now I gotta know what the track is! And yes, you’re in the clear to return it, IMO.

I see no problem with you following the terms they offer: free returns if not 100% satisfied. Just make sure you read all the fine print like no restocking fee. You may have to pay for shipping it back and you should get receipt tracking because they might claim they never received it. Then you have to worry about when they will send you your money back.

Since it's ebay, you can look at the vendor's ratings and reviews.

I bought an item that said free returns and ebay charged me to return the item.

"Free returns" generally means no restocking fee, not free shipping.

I rechecked the original listing and it says free 30 day returns and seller pays return shipping.

Yes. Defiance is the track. I bought the 3rd one 1st go round which I believe is a German import.

The track is called Defiance. The drummer is pretty highlighted in this song as well as others.
The other thing I like is (at least in the recordings I have heard and hopefully hold true if/when I find the album) is the sound is more like you are at one of their concerts (smaller hard rock venues) and not some super mastered/remastered recording studio track.



Tithemi is also a great track (Actually first Sleeping Giant track I ever heard) but is on the neutered album.

Nothing wrong with buying and returning if it’s not what you want, but just a cautionary note first. Hopefully it doesn’t happen to you, but I’ve found that online sellers who are incommunicado or otherwise difficult to contact before a sale tend to become even more difficult to contact and deal with if any problems arise after the sale (such as wanting to return an item and get your money back). Just be prepared to loose the entire $32 if this is such a vendor.

The seller has a ton of sales with 98% positive feedback.
I held my nose and paid with PayPal hopefully they’ll help if it is not what I am hoping.
