Think of them more as fixed focus. There's no electronics or anything making focus adjustments for you. Each eyepiece is individually adjustable. You adjust them so that an object 20 yards away is in focus and everything from there to infinity should be in focus. It's a set it and forget it system. Two negatives. One, anything closer won't be in focus, say birds or butterflies if that's your thing. Two, they are set for your eyes, so sharing them with someone else doesn't work unless they have the same prescription.

Do No Harm, Do Know Harm |
I got a pair of their 10x50s a few years ago when someone from Grainger messed up the pricing and we had a run on them. I’ve used them a ton since and I love the way their focus works. The only drawback I’ve seen is mentioned above, if you hand them off to someone else they will have to fiddle with them to get them set. But it’s not an issue to me. I love mine. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard. -JALLEN "All I need is a WAR ON DRUGS reference and I got myself a police thread BINGO." -jljones
