I just don't get my mother sometimes and I've given up trying. Situation/gripe: She absolutely REFUSES to put ANY type of hand soap by the kitchen sink. RE-FUS-ES!! VEHEMENTLY!! So if cooking ANY kind of meat or other food and you're hands get greasy/dirty/messy from taking it out of the package and putting it in the pan, like hamburger or sausage, you have to traipse your ass to the other end of the house to the gd BATHROOM to wash the shit off your hands. Who in the f*** and in their right f***ing mind does this??? NO ONE!!!! That's who!!!

Yeah...she's my mom, but she's bat-shit crazy about some things and why I just don't enjoy visiting her. She ain't gonna change...she's pretty much told me so...

Question:
Does your household have HAND SOAP next to or near the kitchen sink?

Choices:
YES
NO

Ours is a sort of in-counter thing. Maybe she'd agree to it being under the sink in the cabinet?

And yes, meat go is the number one best reason to do so.

Yes, hand soap.

No on dish soap for hands as we use Dawn. It sucks the oils outta ya…leaves really dry hands.

What is your Moms reasoning? Have you asked?

We have pump bottles of that frothy soap my wife gets from Bath & Body Works at all of our sinks. We stopped using bar soap many years ago.

I put pump dispenser in the counter and use the Dawn.

Worked in food prep early on and ingrained on constant hand washing before and during food handling.

My EXACT setup in my home, Mr. bald. Dawn I have is the 5x "pump on sponge" variety. Hand soap is from Bath & Body Works...good stuff!

Mom is the kinda person who, if asked, would say, "Because I said so and want it that way". If I'm not mistaken, I believe I've asked and that was the response.

DING!!! Smart wife!! She's a keepuh!!!

Mother does not have/use Dawn...uses some knock-off bargain brand from Dollar General.

Mom's always right.

Just replace the dishwashing detergent in her precious dispenser with hand soap, and everyone's happy! Smile

My wife just placed these neat USB charged soap dispensers, where you wave your hand underneath and it will dispense one of two amounts.

Dawn dishwashing detergent. If it’s good enough to remove oil from ducks, it’s good enough to wash my dirty hands.

Absolutely. You have to be able to wash your hands right there after handling raw meat or something greasy.

I'll use Dawn if the hand soap runs out, but not as a regular thing - it's great on dishes but it dries your skin if used all the time.

I wash with Dawn if I have been cleaning guns. Otherwise, Anti-Bacterial hand soap and Purell sit on the edge of the sink.

Just grab and use those pretty little decorator season towels the wimmens love to put out.

You're NOT allowed to use them, they are decorations only! They're often on the grab bar of the oven door.

Grab one and wipe yer hands off real good, then blow your nose on it.

That'll teach'em.

I always have a bottle of dish soap on the kitchen sink so why would I need an inferior bar of soap. I'll also note that when my hands are dirty it's usually because I've been working on the car or motorcycle and most dish soaps are excellent for cutting grease and oil.

I've stopped counting.

Have both. I use the dawn liquid soap and wife has the anti-bact pump and uses it.

I don’t like scents plus i am oily anyway so dawn doesn't dry me out.
