A few years ago we brought this good boy back to the States, he was injured in Afghanistan. Normally our air-evac missions are all humans but this one was a bit different. He was a Marine K9 and was a very good dog. I got to spend some time with him and his handler. He knew exactly when it was time to work and when he could relax and play. We dropped them off in San Antonio where he was to get specialized treatment for his injured leg.

They are such a big part of what the military is doing today. It's amazing how talented and dedicated they and their humans are.

Riley - The links you provided were great, thanks. Will donate today and will copy my family, who I know will be very supportive.
Question: Is there a way of donating things from AMZ not on the list? For instance, dehydrated chicken & rice sticks seem to be a favorite of many hounds I know. If I could purchase the Paul Newman brand it would support that charity, while providing our military dogs with a great treat. Please let me know!

I only show a few items on the Amazon Wish List, I wish they had more of them flagged in Amazon.

If you look at the link 2012Boss302 provided, there are several items beyond what the AMZ wish list provides. Or were you just commenting on AMZ in general? No matter, all the sample care package items can be purchased on AMZ without too much effort.

CNN Uncovers Evidence Hero Dog Sniffed Dozens Of Butts Back In College

The Babylon Bee
October 28th 2019

U.S.—Everyone praised the classified "Hero Dog" for taking down ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Everyone, that is, except CNN, who quickly searched through the dog's internet history and college yearbooks. Sure enough, CNN found a picture of the Hero Dog partying at obedience school. In the picture, the dog is seen sniffing a butt without consent.

"Oh yeah, good old [redacted]? He was nuts!" said one German Shepherd who attended Old Yaler Obedience School with the hero dog, according to a CNN report. "He was always sniffing any butt he could find. Cats, dogs, humans, you name it. He didn't have a preference. He identified as pansniffual."

Troubling reports from classmates indicate that the dog sniffed all these butts without consent. The dog wrote cryptic things in his college yearbook, apparently referring to different butt-sniffing maneuvers such as the Surprise Sniffarooski and the Canine's Triangle.

The dog has issued a statement: "I like butts. I've always liked butts. I still like butts, but I never sniff butts to the point of excess. Who's a good boy? I am."

Democrats immediately called for the dog to be court-martialed and for the death of Baghdadi to be overturned.

Although I have nothing but contempt for most of the BS news media companies, the more important question is who was the shitbird who leaked the name?

It would be humorous, though, if someone was able to get a payoff for providing a fake name.

Actually, since the dog and its handler are still in theater, it seems to me that revealing the name of the dog increases the chances that someone over there will be able to identify the dog and handler and do harm to both or either of them.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a cutesy name for a real condition. These people are, quite lterally, insane. They are. They hate Donald Trump enough to pull stunts that may get US service personnel killed. They are mentally ill, they are sick, deranged. It's no exaggeration to say this. It's demonstrably true. Not only are they sick, they are enemies of this nation, and they should pray that this nation does not descend into civil war, because if it does, they will be the ones having to look over their shoulder 24/7. And that, too, is no exaggeration.

The abandonment of the war dogs on the Afghanistan bug out (chicken out) is something I will never forget or forgive. An abhorrent war crime.

Humans are truly graced by the willingness of these noble animals to associate with us.
