The previous DOJ was quietly coercing local police departments to sign consent decrees that would insert all sorts of BLM policing guidelines. Luckily under @HarmeetKDhillon and @AGPamBondi this is being reversed. This would have changed policing. An example is the one they tried to get St. Louis to sign. The consent decree was 259 pages of specific standards that limit the police departments use of force, ability to obtain and execute search warrants, and it will actually stop police officers from being able to execute their responsibilities because they will be stuck in a matrix of de-escalation techniques during life and death decisions. It will handcuff them, and therefore make them very hesitant to act. It required police officers to consider the race of the criminal or suspect before engaging with them. That one provision in of itself would have a chilling effect on policing. I know this is not a big flashy arrest, but this would literally change policing at the state and local level so people don’t realize how important some of the things that are being done at the DOJ actually are. https://x.com/DefiyantlyFree/s.../1925215984924709360

It's bad enough when the local morons who might face some accountability prohibit the police from being effective, but far worse when it's unelected Federal bureaucrats. https://www.officer.com/comman..._source=OFCR+Newsday ► 6.0/94.0 To operate serious weapons in a serious manner.

^ what happens if it’s local (State and County) bureaucrats who implement a defacto consent decree? As in the one the Chicago Police Department is under right now. Thank you Lisa Madigan, I hope daddy gets ass raped in prison. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Consent Decrees were Holder's and OBummer's idea. Notice that in ALL the cities and departments that were sued by the Just Us Department (remember Consent Decrees were civil suits) not one officer was ever prosecuted criminally with those hundreds of pages of allegations. In a criminal case, the Just Us Department has to have actual evidence, along with victims and witnesses, that proves the charges, has to release all discovery evidence, and the defendant officer has a right to a speedy trial. In the civil case, the Just Us Department can keep filing, keep the case going, in effect bankrupting a city or department trying to fight the Consent Decree law suit.

The Democrats DOJ joined force with BLM and other racist criminal fronts to limit the police in their law enforcement duties. Criminals do not like the police as they interfere with their business and cultural activities like gand shootings and drug dealing. U.S. Army 11F4P Vietnam 69-70 NRA Life Member

Concerning the dropping of “consent decree” against Louisville, the “usual suspects” are already complaining. It seems to be that these issues always come out of Democrat-controlled local governments, with a Democrat Mayor, and a minority/DEI-hired police chief. That should be the first clue to anyone; it’s all about lack of leadership. https://www.wdrb.com/news/some...42-a2670d0b4e4a.html --------------------- DJT-45/47 MAGA !!!!! “Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur.” "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it." — Mark Twain “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.” — H. The problem with places like LMPD is they are allowed to police just enough to keep it from it becoming Thunderdome. I believe the answer is a universal halt of policing in Jeff County. For a year. They say things have to get bad enough before there is real change. Once businesses and revenue leaves the war zone, it can continue to dwindle, or if they decide that they want a law and order society, a new police force can be reestablished with actual policing in mind. Not socially engineered policing. And this goes for any blue city. The money has to leave before change will be forced. As long as revenue is still to be had, leaders can cater to the thug culture AND spend like there is no tomorrow. Make them choose one or the other.
