Works, including the remote EXCEPT the nylon carrier that pushes and pulls the J bar up and down the slide tube is broken. This was mine, I Just pulled and replaced it after it broke with a new insulated door and Liftmaster 8500.

Mfg dates were 1982 - 1992. So it's at least 27 yrs old and dirty!

Yea a long shot, but the transmitter / receiver work. Motor is good... like I said everything worked except the carrier busted through the manual disconnect section and will not stay connected to the chain.

LONG shot but before I send it to the recycle bin at the dump I thought I would ask, maybe some one has one in use and would like some spare parts.

Photos, can do more if needed at link...

If you are bored...

OK, I am going to tell off on myself for a little procrastination.

At the last 12 years of my working carrier I worked for Clopay, the largest mfg of residential garage doors in the world... but not in the garage door devision. I worked in their plastics and printing devision, our main product was making and printing the outer cover for 75 percent of the disposable diapers sold in North America. Huggies, Pampers, Luvs and several house brands including Kirkland... We also made house wrap... Think big box store branded Tyvek competitor.

Anyway, Clopay had a distributor warehouse for the garage door division just down the street from the place where I worked, and we got a big discount on anything they carried.

SO... having just bought a house that had 2 40 yr old uninsulated garage doors that kind of needed replacing I bought two new doors and openers the last month I worked just before my retirement and stacked them in the garage... so there they sat waiting to be installed... since 2015!

Put the first one in this week, after the old opener broke... only took 3 years and 10 months to get to it! No idea when I'll get the other one Big Grin

I just replaced one of those recently. It was original to when the garage was built. I can't remember anymore what part failed, but it was much more reliable (until it failed) than what it was replaced with from a box store unfortunately.
