“Senator Dave McCormick Tells New Yorkers That Pennsylvania Is Calling”

It’s ‘Rumble’, so two short 5-second ads may play first.

McReallyStupid is his new name.

I’ll be calling McReallyStupid’s office tomorrow.

Your assumption that he’s calling the stereotypical New Yorker aside, why wouldn’t you want folks that are tired of New York and want what he’s describing in his ad?

Did I miss something? And I may have for sure.

Do you assume that everyone in the HUGE state of New York is your typical NYC resident? The ad doesn’t sound like he’s calling those people, at least to me.

No, You didn’t miss anything OttoSig.

While there may be some conservative folks in NYC / NYS looking for refuge in their quickly developing shite-hole state / shit-hole city, NY in general, imho, is politically Progressive, and they can keep their destructive politics out of PA.

I grew up in NYS, about 50 miles north of NYC, and the almost the entirety of the Hudson region is proudly.

Why invite trouble?

Respectfully,

Rob

I’ll concede cookster. Not knowing the area as well as a local resident I initially would have assumed you want New Yorkers who valued conservative beliefs. And I’m sure there are many, I’d wager the majority of the state is red by area.

I’ll assume it’s like inviting Mexicans or Cubans to my home state of Florida. They aren’t all illegal but why risk it.

No different than red state governors inviting blue state residents and businesses sick and tired of tyranny to come and enjoy freedom. See no issues here.

Maybe he said that to pile-on to the pessimism and taxes in NYC future. Still wrong.

PA is not red enough to take extra libs which used to be only in the cities..... Stay, and pay the taxes you voted for up there.

Could he give a shout out to California residents who are invading Arizona?

When I escape this state, I'm going to put a temporary bumper sticker on my truck that says, "I escaped the Leftist madness of California!" Then when I get my new plates, I'll remove the sticker - it has California on it.

I found what you said riveting.

My dad was as conservative a capitalist as you'd ever meet. He worked in Manhattan for 30 years and retired there for 25 years until his passing. But over the years his view of normal shifted left from being exposed to local news and politics.

He told stories of his childhood in Michigan hanging out with friends taking their 22's into the woods. But after a decade in NYC he was very pro gun control. He spoke about how wonderful Medicare and Part D drug coverage were after he turned 65.

I would be leery of anyone from the NY metro area having flyover country type Constitutional conservative views.

^^^ My older sisters live and have always lived in Massachusetts. The oldest still calls herself a republican, but she's far from it. She and my BIL make the mistake of watching local news. Religiously. It's truly changed them and it's easy to see looking from the outside. They would never believe that though.

We have enough New Yorkers here already who fled and brought their baggage with them. Some days I swear every fourth or fifth car on the road around here has NY plates. Never used to see that, only the occasional NJ or DE tag.

Although I feel a little bad (not much, but a little) for even thinking the thought because of what it would mean for where they moved, I would not be disappointed if many people in my state were convinced that they would be better off living elsewhere. But I agree that a politician saying, “Move here,” should be careful for what he wishes for because he might get it.

Take a look at this map of the NYS Presidential Election Results by County.

There were 3.5M voters in NYS that supported President Trump. Unfortunately, as you can see by the map, we were outnumbered by downstate New York.
