Well it's a Louisiana ceramic komodo grill, and I have a 6 foot area for it. Would like to get a wood table with cut out for the grill.

The Ace has a BGE table for the XL which will fit, it's a bit bigger opening than the Louisiana, but the L is too small. Louisiana is 24 inch across

$499 and I can get the BGE XL table at ACE assembled. Unless anyone else has a better source, which would be appreciated, Wife said go get it, so not gonna miss that opportunity.

Something along these lines is what I'm looking at...

How hot does the outer shell of that Egg get? Is it going to scorch the table over time?

Would be an exceptionally easy thing to build, and for a lot less coin than $500 even with the current insane lumber prices. Just sayin'.

I bought the BGE branded table when I got mine. It was falling apart within 2 years. I replaced it with one I built.
I also have a KJ at our winter place in Florida. Knowing what I know now I'd go with a nest and have a table \ work surface separate. It's a lot more versatile.

ETA: If you're set on a table I'd recommend going over to the Egghead forum and searching there. Lots of good information.

It can. It can also catch that table on fire. It should have at least a couple of inches space or have a heat shield.

Building a similar table is on my to do list. Most of that ones for sale are chincy and overpriced. You can find plenty of plans on google.

Nothing wrong with having both the stubby legs for air gap and a concrete block under it. When it comes to fire prevention if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing.

The other thing I see with the OP's table is it's going to want to sag over time towards the middle. If I were building a table, I'd have a 3rd set of legs to evenly support the kamodo (i.e. the primary load).

Eventually, I'm building an outdoor kitchen and am planning for cast concrete top, cast concrete beneath BGE, and faced with the leftover brick and limestone from my home's construction. I'm planning for support on both sides of BGE and the 3rd support at end of counter. Hoping to be my "winter" (Texas' version anyway) project this year.

If you're a little bit handy, you can build one from aluminum: https://8020.net/xdiy1605
Maybe a nice patio bar to go with it? https://8020.net/xdiy1806 Cool

It definitely won't be subject to scorching like wood would. I'd be tempted to paint the top surface, though -- that's going to reflect a LOT of sunshine back in your face.

God bless America.

Appreciate all the suggestions, as much as I'd like to create my own, just don't own the tools to do the job so that's not an option.

The ones on Amazon and other bbq sites were similar an more money, wife said, go get it, and Ace Put it together for me and loaded it in the truck so I went with the BGE XL Acacia table.

The Louisiana Grill komodo is larger than the BGE L and smaller than the XL. So the XL table is needed, and bought the XL stand for that table. SIL helped lift the grill and place it into the opening. Did the first cook with it last night, of course typical of FL it hasn't rained in a couple of weeks and we get a downpour right after I light it off...

Clausen garlic pickles would go really well with that.

That's how this grill works. You place food inside the grill and drop it into a roaring fire.

Yes that was the option, casters or adjustable feet, the casters make it easy to move around.

When I replaced mine it had a 6 inch scorch mark that was pretty significant. Right under the center despite the egg being elevated by the ceramic feet.
Never had any scorching around the sides. They can get pretty hot doing a "clean burn". Suspect thats where mine took damage.
But nothing near as hot as a metal grill.
