William Tisaby's age on the internet is stated as either 65 or 69 and he is a private investigator. While the post mentions "retired FBI Agent" it kind of makes it sound like an FBI investigation or at least it's not very clear. I believe the mandatory retirement age for a Special Agent is either 57 or 58 which means he has not been an Agent for several years. I'm not sticking up for either him or the FBI but it could have been written more clearly. We certainly all know of botched FBI investigations but this was not one of them.

We don't need Greitens, but the Democrats do. They want Greitens as the nominee so bad they can taste it, because he's their only chance at winning.

Yep.
The only problem is that Eric Schmitt and Vicky Hartzler could split the votes of conservatives which would open the door for Greitens to win the primary.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Greitens' campaign was set back earlier this week when his ex-wifemade allegations of abuse, which he has denied.

Oops. Messy divorce at the exact wrong time in a campaign. It's almost like it was planned.

I hear the sound of a hatchet being sharpened reading this.

From the article you cited:

quote:
In a statement released on Tuesday, Sheena Greitens said that she stands by her affidavit and did not discuss its contents with anyone except her lawyer and, after the affidavit was filed, her immediate family.

"My only interest is what's best for my two children, and for the last four years, I have gone to great lengths to keep these family matters private to protect them," she said in her statement. "I am not interested in litigating this matter anywhere other than the courtroom. At the appropriate time in the legal process, I will provide whatever evidence and documentation the court requests, including testimony under oath."

She isn't trying to drag this into the press. She's involved in a custody battle. She hasn't gone public, other than to file her affidavit with the court.
