Illinois Dem senator carjacked, shots fired, police say

Illinois’ Democratic state Senate majority leader was the victim of carjacking Tuesday night in a Chicago suburb, police have confirmed.

Sen. Kimberly Lightford and her husband, Eric McKennie, were together during the incident but were unharmed, police said.

The carjacking happened around 9:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of South 20th Avenue in Broadview, about a 20-minute drive west of Chicago.

Three masked subjects driving a Durango SUV hijacked a black Mercedes-Benz SUV belonging to Lightford, Chief of Police Thomas Mills said.

Criminals got carjacked? That's all right by me.

It's the guns. They have to crack down more on guns.
Guns make people commit violent crimes.

I think it happened in a gun free zone. The nerve.

To solve this, is she gonna defund the police?

Call a guidance counselor or sex therapist or whatever your kind want to replace the police with.

Just collecting reparations. Glad they got them from democrats who can afford it.

10-15 shots fired and no one hit and the police don’t know who fired? Yeah ok.

So Hubby shot to protect.... His property? I thought that was illegal. Lightford said the guns "were off them" and she had fled. Sounds like an iffy shoot, there, Hubby!
