1. I like Sam Jackson's movies... Generally. "Snakes on a Plane" was bullshit, but generally, I like his movies.
2. That is one of the stupidest comments I have ever heard.
3. He is an actor. One I enjoy, but still, an actor. I'll be goddamned if I ever give a shit what a Hollywood actor says about ANYTHING, with the exception of talking about movies...
He is certainly entitled to his opinion just like every other American citizen.
I'm also entitled to dismiss his opinion for whatever reason I want (mostly because he is a goddamn actor and I don't care what he thinks about anything expect movies).
So if he keeps making good movies, then I will keep watching them. If he wants to become irreverent and put his ideals out there unwarranted... then i won't.
Like the vast majority of Hollywood folk, he needs to get over himself.
