Does anyone know what a national conversation is?
It's code for: "Conservatives and Liberals need to get together and the Liberals get to do all the talking and beating up on the Conservatives and the Conservatives have to just STFU, listen and take it."

Pretty much the exact opposite of what a real conversation is.

that is the sound of hammer striking head of nail...

'national conversation' is Orwellian double-speak for 'sit there - don't talk - let me lecture you'

Don't forget: It is also a little known fact that the Founding Fathers allowed bypass of the normal Constitutional Amendment process if a "National Conversation" is held to discuss the perceived error in the original document.
