Fordham University - area and education
One of my daughters is being looked at to play Soccer at Fordham University. Back in the day is had a superb reputation as a strong education, something the Jesuit's were known for. I went to an Augustinian High School and mt Parish was staffed by Augustinians. Does anyone have direct experience with Fordham or had a spouse or child attend there? What was their/your experience. I was on the campus back in the mid and late 80's while I was in college. How has the area changed?

I personally don't have a connection to Fordham, but a friend of mine graduated from there and just got back from a reunion. He goes there a couple times a year. We are in Maryland.

The key to enforcement is to punish the violator, not an inanimate object. The punishment of inanimate objects for the commission of a crime or carelessness is an affront to stupidity.

Mario Gabelli, the fabulously successful investor, got his BS at Fordham. It isn’t woke, and it isn’t a party school.

Every year Gabelli grants two full Fordham scholarships to promising students of finance. My financial guy’s only child received one of those Gabelli grants in 2022. He’s a sharp and enterprising kid. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Serious about crackers.

Fordham is a good school. Sports are Division One. Soccer comes before academics.
