I wear Keens around the house. They are a higher quality and price sandal than you may be considering but I’ve learned that going cheap on certain items is false economy.
Aside from the fact that quality lasts longer, the health and comfort issues have become much more important to me.

I go barefoot around the house most of the time. When it gets cold I go to socks and a pair of Sorrel slippers. For going outside I keep a pair of Crocs by the door, cheap and not uncomfortable. I don't use the heel strap, just slip them on.

Just give up and buy the Oofos.

Comfort is different for everyone, but comparing the comfort of Crocs to Oofos would be akin to comparing the grip on Hi-Point to the grip on a high end German gun with interchangable grip panels.

I have worn Oofos as my house shoes for more years than I can count, at least 6 years, maybe 8 years. I am on my second pair. The only reason I had to ditch the first pair was that the tread was gone of the bottom of the first and they started to slip here and there. Otherwise, they still felt good on my feet.

In fact, I type this from my computer while wearing said Oofos.

If I recall, you are on the west side of town? Go see Jane or Jerry at Tri and Run in Winter Garden.

I've got some Kokata "recovery slides" I wear around the house, they were like $35 on Amazon.
I recently bought some Hoka One Ora Recovery Slides I wear when I'm banging around town - I think they were $55 direct from Hoka One - with free shipping.
I really like them.

After a crippling bout of Plantar Fasciitis I went to Hoka for shoes and Oofas for everything else. It's the best investments I have ever made. I have little experience with other slides to compare them to, but my Oofas are so good I'm not trying anything else.

Seriously, Kidcop is stingy with approvals, but Oofas get the seal. When my house burned, my Oofas were one of the first things I salvaged.

I picked up a cheap pair of Birkenstocks from a local store last year for wearing around the house. They have great arch support and the only thing I don't like about them is that they're plastic, which make my feet sweat like crazy without socks. My feet no longer hurt after walking around on the hard floor in the house.

I wish I could find a pair that weren't so ugly, made out of leather at a reasonable price. I've got my eye on a pair that are a little less ugly, but they're more than 3X's the $...

Go to the site of a recent foot pursuit of thieves from a stolen car down in the hood. There will be some slides lying around.

Thanks for this. You are correct. I know where that store is, and will be across the street from it next week.

I happened upon a pair of Wassookeag moccasins that we were using for a store display.

Was told that they weren't worn enough and I had a few months before we needed them.

Lucky for me, they were my size. Started wearing them around the house, then to the store, then all weekend long.

They are super comfortable and last a few years. Then I get another pair and start wearing those.

I'd probably buy a pair if I had to. Everybody we have wearing them say that they become their favorite pair.

If you’re serious, no, range pants no bell.

I'm prone to plantar fascitis so everything I wear has arch support - slippers, flip flops, gym shoes, work shoes, etc.

For flip flops, I wear reef brand and am pleased. Reef does make a $55 slide with arch support.
