ArtieS"Slide" Sandals
I am in need of a new pair of slide style slip in sandals for around the house.
I'm looking at Aerothotic and Crocs as brands, since I don't want to go as expensive as Oofos, and I do want real arch support.
First, does anyone have experience with either of these brands, and looks aside, are they comfortable.
Second, both only size in whole sizes and I am an 11.5. Do these things size large or small; i.e., should I go for an 11 or a 12.
Thanks all.

architectDon't diss the Oofos just because of price, cry once, you know, and they do have good arch support. I will add that they will long outlast your ordinary flip-flops. I wear these all summer for comfort, but switch them out to some LL Bean fur-lined moccasins when things cool down (no arch support there).

ch23701They’re expensive, but I beat a pair of NoBull slides to death and they lastest at least 2+ years. Might give them a look.

WasabiNot the ones you are looking at but I’ve had good luck with FootJoy slides:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L...EZ6QWFPWBQB3C0226Z2TI’m usually an 8.5 and the 9 works great. They are very durable and comfy. I actually bought an extra pair as a backup when the price dropped one day.

ensigmaticHeck, I just barefoot it around the house, as a rule, except in colder winter months, when I'll throw on a pair of slippers.
For quick trips to the garage or outside, in warmer months, I'll slip these on:
Under Armour Men's Ignite V Slide SandalIn the colder months I've a pair of rather ugly-looking slip-on shoes my wife bought me on clearance somewhere.

FdanPlease consider Naot. Not cheap but extremely comfortable and well-made (in Israel).

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I'm not wedded to the two I mentioned, so this is helpful.

Oofos
Have Crocs, they are comfortable, ugly, not a ton of support, cheap, did I mention they are not only ugly but fugly....
You should check Costco, they have sandals that are a bit better at reasonable prices, they just never have them in my size, 14....
I found a set of Birkenstocks on Woot they have a ton of arch support they have a bunch of Tevas now and Crocs for $31

PASigI wear Crocs around my house per the podiatrist ordering me to never walk around my house barefoot/socks only again after having issues with high arches a few years ago. They have also replaced flip-flops at the pool and beach.
They go on when I get up and only time I go barefoot is in shower or bed. When I come home they go on and the shoes with custom orthotics get put away. I think the regular old Crocs have a good amount of support, not sure about the other types.
Crocs tend to run a little on the smaller side I think so I'd go with a size 12 if you decided to try them.

Russ59I've been dealing with a sore left heal after long runs. He recommended Oofos. I was out the door at $70 at the local running store. I can attest that my heel is feeling better. I've ditched my beloved Birkenstocks and Crocs. My feet feel better.
Good sandals are $30-50, so why not spring for Oofos at $70?

GustoferI've been wearing Crocs at work for 16 years (same pair). I've gotten my $12 worth out of them.
When I first got them, it felt like walking on marshmallows. It was wonderful. They've lost a bit of that over the years, but they are still great.
I don't remember when, but they sold out and began making them out of a different material or using a different process and they are not quite as cushy as they used to be. I've got a few pair for around the house and they're still great, but not quite as great as the old style.
And I agree, get the 12s.

lastmanstandingI've have Olu Kai and beat the crap out of them all summer and they hold up well. Both their slide on's and deck shoes. Both sets are on their third summer and look to have maybe two more left.
However if you have specific foot issues I highly recommend going to a shoe store and talking to one of the associates they can be quite knowledgeable and trying them on first. I don't think my Olu Kai's offer much in the way of support but when I go for sandals or deck shoes decent soles are usually my priority.

YooperSigsI wear Crocs to go get the mail. My neighbors are aghast! I even have fleece lined ones for the winter. My Crocs are 10+ years old. Hard to beat that kind of durability, given the cost.

ArtieSThanks for all the replies so far.
Understand that sartorially, I am firmly in the "I don't give a flying fuck" demographic.
I am looking for comfort, support, and quality, and notwithstanding not wanting to pay $70 for Oofos, if they are in fact, the best, they will get the call.
Please keep the recommendations coming.
Thanks very much. You guys are really helping me out.

Black92LXI am in the market as well since my go to slide for at least the last 27 years have been the fine Italian made Adidas Adilette. One of the greatest feeling pair of footwear the planet has ever seen. I have probably had upward of 75 pairs. I currently have 7 pair.
https://www.adidas.com/us/adilette-slides/280647.htmlHowever the asshats over at Adidas have started to cut corners. There used to be a nice felt like layer between the strap and your foot. That is now gone and the edges of the strap cut into one’s toes. The felt also kept your foot from sliding around especially if wet or sweaty.
So they are no longer very comfortable.

valkyrie1I’ve had a few pairs of Crocs, I like their convenience but I’ve busted my ass a few times when its wet and on certain types of floors(tiles, painted garage floors etc). Especially when the heels are worn.
