Which do you like ? Cons Reports rate Behr Marquis best. I have put two coats of white on over peach and it still looks like it needs another coat.
I know the pure white is not 1 coat coverage, but 3 coats seems excessive

Benjamin Moore. It covers better than anything else and is great paint.

I like Valspar Reserve from Lowe’s. I detest painting and this stuff works with one coat in most cases. I used to dread the idea of painting a room then having to do it again for a second coat but this stuff fixed that.

I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888

Been using sherwin Williams for decades, it has worked for us.

But when covering another color, especially darks, I use a coat of Kilz primer.

This. We have always had good luck using Kilz primers to cover stains, dark colors, etc.

Quite expensive but the performance is the best I've seen. Goes on smoothly, doesn't drip on a brush or roller and dries incredibly fast. Dry to the touch in about 5-7 minutes. The contractor we used for our kitchen and Master bath remodels used it and when I decided to paint my garage (stuck in Covid jail) I went to the local KM paint store. I mentioned my contractor's name and they put the sale through on his account number (I paid with CC) and the price was more than half of the retail.

All I use inside my house.

My dad had a home repair 501(c)(3) for a few years & it was all he & his painters used.

Another vote for Sherwin Super Paint. I put down 2 coats just to make sure everything is 100%.

Inside I've used lots of brands including SW but I think the issue is proper priming.
Especially when going dark you need a dark primer.
Going lighter the reverse and a good primer will seal out the old.
Three coats of white may be necessary without proper primer coat.

I was always a Benjamin Moore fan, but I did a big project last summer using Behr and I was very pleased.
