Not reading your response before I read the OP, cost me several minutes of life that I can not spare! Occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas do not end up in political discussions at my house! Even if they did, we would all be saying essentially the same thing. I/we do not have racist family members or friends! Just because some basement dwelling racist asshole does, has no influence on our lives or conversation. Well, I have 6 indoor and 3 outdoor cats, and I think that article is unadulterated BS. The writer was obviously a die-hard Liberal Trump-hater (and I am the opposite). However, when having dinner as a guest at someone's home, I usually steer clear of inciting or contributing to verbal discord. I am ashamed to admit that I do have some relative who are racists and I'm completely willing to call them out on Thanksgiving. There are two major problems that make this plan unfeasible... 1) They're all Democrats and have no clue they're racists, except around other Dems where it's ok. And.... 2) Those relatives haven't been welcome in my house for quite some time. I have the heart of a lion.......and a lifetime ban from the Toronto Zoo.- Unknown | |||

I'm vehemently against what she said, but eater is excellent. It's a foodie website and has an edition in every major city in the US (e.g. https://atlanta.eater.com/) and they are many orders of magnitude better than Yelp (i.e. the great unwashed masses who give 5 stars to a restaurant that microwaves food from Costco and 3 starts to a restaurant who prepares food from scratch but costs more). The various maps are the features that I like: I use it both in Houston and when I travel (e.g. Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles) and I've never had a mediocre/average meal as everything has been very good to outstanding.
