The gun company, Culper Precision had advertised the pistol in question as a Block 19, designed “to create an opportunity to talk about the enjoyment of shooting sports and the joy that can only be found in marksmanship practice and training,” according to a company Instagram post. Lego asked the gun company to stop making the firearm. “We here at Culper Precision are grateful for the attention that Block 19 is currently getting across the globe,” they added. The post also mentioned that a responsible gun owner must take appropriate measures in order to properly secure their firearms. While the Instagram post about the Block 19 remains up, the product page on the company’s website was taken down, according to ABC News. “We have already seen tragedies happen when unsecured firearms are around children and they don’t look like toys,” said Shannon Watts, founder of the Moms Demand Action gun-control group. She went on to call the pistol “a recipe for disaster.” | |||
