Taco Bell is NOT SOURCE!! Error due to a false positive at FDA!
Too late for the franchises though… damage already done.

The article you linked says the FDA's test of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce supplied to Tac Bell was a false positive.
It does not say Taxo Bell was not the source.

VgexIf it's just you with a diarrhea, it's the parasite. If you and the parasite have diarrhea, it's Taco Bell.

konata88How does the scientific method lead to false positive here? Don’t they do independent retests to confirm and reconfirm results before making conclusions? Is this reasonable or another DEI based screwup?

trapper189 Investigation of 9-State Outbreak of Cyclospora Illnesses: Iceberg Lettuce (July 2026)Excerpt:
"On July 19, 2026, FDA provided an update about a false positive sample collected at the border. To clarify, this false-positive lab sample DOES NOT change the basis for FDA’s ongoing outbreak investigation or the overwhelming epidemiological data supporting the current voluntary recall by Taylor Farms. FDA’s traceback investigation and outbreak data continue to converge on shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms from growers in central Mexico. We encourage the public to continue to avoid all products listed in Taylor Farms’ voluntary recall.”
