i own a JD compact tractor. 955 made by Yanmar for JD I think. Been a great tractor.

But I think I would be hard pressed to shop and buy a Deere these days. JD as gone by way of the doedoe bird as a company and their distributors are crap. They build massive complexes that make the tajmahal looks like a shed. And they provide little service with an attitude and ask astromomical prices. I think most of their buyers are the retired and rich golf crowd.

Once a great American company. But that is long gone.

Lets remember there are four (4) different Kawasaki engines put on mowers.

As you go up in cost, you get a better Kawasaki.
