I just installed the last door stop and we are now done!!! I wired the basement family room to have surround sound both length and width wise depending on how we like the arrangement of our funiture. I also have it plumbed for a gas fireplace but that will come in a year or two as money doesn’t grow on trees. We will be installing a 86” TV on Monday so the kids are exited too.

Merry Christmas to all of you as well!

The first thing I noticed was all the various outlets on the walls. Are any of those HDMI outlets?

Sweet! I have a 75" in my living room, and I definitely wouldn't want to go any bigger in that room. (It's a little oversized, but not comically so.) But I can see that being awesome in a larger space.

Are you doing normal couches, or theater seating?

Congrats on a nice job, always nice to hit the finish line. And I was wondering if I was seeing HDMI outlets too.

Looks great and I love the future proof wiring. Did you use a subfloor or is the carpet right on concrete?

To answer some questions: It is on a cement floor but I upgraded the padding. I did
put in HDMI cables, CAT wiring if we ever go to Comcast internet with CAT wiring to various rooms, various speaker and sub woofer wiring including ceiling speakers. Multiple light switches with dimmers too. I also put on extra outlets. I finally ran a special antenna wire to the outside wall for an antique radio/shortwave that I inherited from my grandparents. As a kid we listened to stations all over the world. I hope to set up a new antenna outside to do that again. Mrs BB61 is in charge of the couches. She is leaning towards an "L" shaped couch.

Wow! That's fantastic! I admire you for doing all that work to make a nice space for your family to enjoy. I have neither the skills nor the patience to undertake something that major. They're going to love that! Merry Christmas!
