Could anyone suggest a good kit to replace batteries in Fossil watches? They closed all their stores near me and most jewelers want $15+ a watch. I saw a few on Amazon, but it is hard to know which to buy.

I have pretty much everything in this kit, bought it in several separate purchases as different problems came about. It is cheapish stuff but it works for me.

Wow for the price and all the tools included I'm impressed that set has everything you could ever need for simple in-expensive

watch battery changes. I would probably also order a case back knife since the tool in the set is not the greatest for ease of

use.

Even though I would never use these tools since they are so cheaply made in China but if they work and don't break on you or

damage the watch, take your time then you can't complain if it saves you money.

But I do this kind of work for a living and some of my tools are 15-20 years old and the reason they last is you get what you pay

for.

Take a look at https://www.esslinger.com.
I saw this site recommended here on the forum and have parted with money for new tools.

I took a look and only one or two have screws, so I'd need tools for the rest. For $8 I may try that Home Depot set out. If something goes wrong they will probably take it back.

If I did buy the tools on Esslinger.com what would I need just to change the battery? They are having a sale on some tools. Can I do it without taking the links apart?

For removing a pop off case back, you'll need a case back opening knife.

I also purchased a case press.

These 2 items are included in the $50 kit which is what I purchased.

I recently had to replace the battery in my watch, not your brand. I simply took it to Wallyword and for 8 bucks they replaced it. Battery and labor.
