dewhorseStreamlight Scorpion upgrade advice
I have an old Scorpion that I rarely use since the light it puts out is pitiful compared to all my other lights.
I found an LED upgrade and was hoping some of our flashlight geeks would voice their opinion on it and/or the company.

I loved my Scorpion and used the hell out of it, and would love to resurrect it. It even has teeth marks on it from me holding it in my mouth while working on things. But at $38.50, why I wouldn't just buy a new light is beyond me.

lastmanstandingI picked up a new O Light mini for my Scorpion on Black Friday and it's great. But we are not talking the same kind of Scorpion.
At 850 lumens to the one you linked it certainly should be a improvement over what you have. Do you have any idea what the rated lumens are for your existing bulb?

dewhorseI bought it in the early 2000s so I would wager less than 150 lumens

sniderashitty runtime & you lose the focus (which isn't that useful, to be honest)
You can get a better light for similar money or better for a little more.
I like the scorpion, but not enough to spend $ upgrading - it was good in it's time, but tech has bypassed it.

That was a good deal Lastman, alas I was too slow and they were gone. Enjoy.

83v45magnaI have been waiting to find a good cheap close range flood type LED/reflector that will make it a good work light for vehicles and such but with long runtimes. I have other lights that are 'throwers'.
Looking for the same for a Pelican M6.
