Fractures her eye socket, arrested and almost immediately released on a misdemeanor charge.

Only in Portland.
I wonder who she voted for? Lives downtown so it's a safe bet that she doesn't swing to the right.

I'm sure he will be at his next court appearance...

There's been a lot of this type of incident happening from coast to coast. Homeless (mentally ill?) were better off in 'institutions' before the progressives released them on society.

If people would mind their own damn business this country would be better off. I owe no one an explanation or an apology for my personal opinion.

Fractures an eye socket ?! What if he had really hurt her. What do you have to do to not get released?

You can apply that regionally.
Most of the surrounding towns around here don't have that problem. They take care of it.
Hence "Only in Portland"

The neighboring County Sheriff won't even have anything to do with Portland.
Deputies will no longer respond to calls. The Mayor begged him not to do it as it was announced right before a "protest" The Sheriff basically said oh well, not my problem.

Portland PD has just lowered their standards again to try and get recruits.
I think it's down to fogging a mirror unassisted and if there is enough leather in the warehouse to make a belt for you.

It's pretty sad. So much winning with the Black female from Oakland Police Chief....
Hired by the at least he isn't fucking boys in the mens room of City Hall Mayor.

Apparently not.
Don't raise your eyebrow at your "domestic partner" or you could be red flagged though.

Makes sense to me.

Ok, all things considered given where this happened, but how in the hell could that be 'misdemeanor' assault? Blows like that could very well have killed that woman. Pushing and shoving is misdemeanor assault. This damn sure was not.

The answer to all of this is behavior like that should be met with immediate JHP's. This POS and all like him need to take permanent dirt naps.

I was wondering about that also. Briefly looking at Oregon's statutes online, it seems that there are four degrees of assault in Oregon, three of which are felonies. The lowest degree, Assault IV, can be either a misdemeanor or felony.

Given the defendant's lengthy rap sheet and the extent of the victim's injuries, that's some pretty lackadaisical discretion which was applied in this case to charge it as a misdemeanor.

Based on a lengthy rap sheet and the amount of violence involved he'd be going to the big house where I live. Unbelievable!!

I used to work in Portland for over 33 years. As long as you don't shoot or stab someone it a liberal free for all, no one should be in jail type town. Don't miss that liberal shit hole one bit.

I agree. If the system won't do what it's supposed to do then we must do what we need to do. Justice must be served one way or the other.
