You’re right, they usually leave their left turn signal on between Bayshore and Tuckers Grade. If you go right at that exit, it’ll take you to the Cecil M. Webb Public Shooting Range.

Good lord, I haven't seen many chases like that.
Most likely a Chevy truck too.

Did they not search him before they put in in the back seat of the unit? At about 14:00 to 16:00 he took a bottle of pills out of his front right pocket, and looked to me like he was shoving the bottle up his ass. Maybe he was tucking it in the seat crack, but it sure looked like he was working on his own crack.

I would search arrestees (while cuffed) what I thought was pretty thoroughly but from time to time would miss things. When I got to the sallyport, I would yank the out the back seat and check it to see if my customer had managed to stash something back there. Mostly it was pills or doobies. But once it was a .25 Raven auto! I also pulled the back seat prior to going out on patrol so I knew the area was free of contraband. This was in the days before security prisoner enclosures were commonly available. The one piece construction of the enclosure meant no more back seat hide and seek.

According to the report in the video description, he had a CT scan at the hospital, and they saw the bottle in his man cave.

Unfortunately two of our WVSP troopers missed a small pistol like that after detaining a person and he used it against them while cuffed in the backseat of their cruiser. Very sad situation as both succumbed to their injuries. I can’t imagine the challenges LEOs face on a daily basis. I’m thankful for all that are willing to place themselves in harms way to protect our society.

Looks like he pissed the seat, too.

Damn!!!
Took out at least 2 FHP’s and managed on 3 wheels for quite a while.
This is definitely the wildest chase I have seen in a long time.
Unlike the last idiotic chase I saw in LA, where they chased a guy literally driving 5 mph through downtown and the cops chased him for an hour, with no real attempt to stop him.
