Was your previous employment at a Chinese Laundry or as the hat check girl at the nightclub?

I worked at a dry cleaner and laundry as a youth.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

As a child one of my habits was to leave bait shrimp in the watch pocket of my swim trunks after a day's fishin at the beach.

My son in law recently ran his cell phone through the washer and dryer. Made it a lot cleaner, but no longer functional.

My standard response is, "I'm sorry, dear." Now I gotta do the laundry.

I switched to the half-sized paper towels instead of kleenex for snot rags. They maintain integrity in the washer and dryer.

Tactical pants are a problem.

Chewing tobacco makes an even bigger mess.

Ruined the drain pump on my washer with pennies. I used to pick up pennies that were face up and put them in my back left pocket. Half the time I'd forget to remove them.

One day I started getting error message on washer. I'd hit cancel, then restart, come back same problem. I noticed a rapid clicking sound when it was draining. Felt around on back of machine and isolated the sound to a pump on the bottom of the basket. Opened it up, the impeller had two of four fins missing and a beat to hell penny in there. Not sure how plastic could chip and cut into a penny, but it did.

$23 on eBay for me a used motor, now I triple check for change and no longer collect lucky pennies.

My neighbor somehow plugged up his washing machine with a quarter.

The quarter wouldn't allow the machine to drain.

You can guess how much water damage he enjoyed...

Empty your pockets or you may face serious damage.

I used to deliver Appliances,
we offered to haul the old laundry machines away , no charge.

I noticed that one dryer had no lint screen in it.

I pulled off a panel and found $25.00 , laying in the bottom,

woo hoo! thanks for the tip

I dated a "pork queen" for a month, found out she dipped while helping her dad with chores.

Is a pork queen a beauty contest winner in Iowa or a pejorative term? I had heard by the way that North Carolina now has more pig farms than Iowa.

It really proves that we are the sum of our experiences. The fact that I worked in a factory, lumber yard and various other concerns helps me everyday in terms of life. I even learned from a job that involved putting eight bottles of chocolate syrup in a box.

My wife handed me a fully loaded P225 mag after she did laundry. All the Hornady Critical Defense rounds fired perfectly the next weekend. Smile
