kkinaI Won the Lottery!
OK, so it was only $817. But this pays for my new truck tires. First time I've won anything on a draw ticket.
How's your luck been?

StorminNorminCongratulations!! Gotta play to have a chance at winning and I so very rarely play even a scratch off ticket. Once on a vacation trip when we stopped at a gas station, my wife brought a scratch off and won $50. That is the most we have won.
I won’t forget once long ago when they announced the drawing numbers on the news, I hadn’t bought a ticket but said random numbers out loud before they drew numbers. I got 4 out of the 5!!! I should have played.

Expert308I've only won something like that once. It was a raffle and I'm pretty sure it was rigged. Not specifically for me, but for a small subset of those who entered.

92fstechI don't play the lottery, but I'm great luck for door prizes. Not for me, but for the person sitting next to me. It got to the point back when I worked in IT that my co-workers would fight over who got to sit next to me at conferences, lol.

trapper189Nice! That’d only be 2 tires on my truck, but I’d take it.

V-TailTwenty or thirty years ago, I bought a Florida Lotto ticket every week, selecting our (wife and me) birthdays -- year, month, and date for each of us. A buck spent each week.
One week, five of the six numbers popped up. If memory is correct, this "second place" prize was worth $2,650 or thereabouts. We pissed it away on advance mortgage payments.

Odd considering that it's not like it's affected by inflation. They just pull their operating expenses off the top off the jackpot.

lastmanstandingMy niece would always sell calendars as a fund raiser for her boys hockey team. They gave away 3 guns a week all year long. We have been buying calendars for about the last five years at $40 a calendar. I've won three times, my wife twice and my son twice. Got a nice Tikka bolt action and a Winchester 22 rifle. Son got a 22 AR and I forget the other one. Wife got a Tri Star 12ga. and a Ruger 22 rifle. Her boys are done with hockey so no more calendars come our way.
