How do you like it? It looks to be discontinued but found a good clearance deal on one and was thinking of picking it up.

Besides shortfalls of the unit itself, should I be wary with eventual end of support or forced obsolescence?

Any insight anyone may have would be appreciated!

I don't know that I'd worry about forced obsolescence with Garmin GPSs. I've got their 60C GPS that I bought in 2004. Used it just the other day to mark a few waypoints and it picked up 12 satellites lickety-split and put me within 3ft.
