In the 1990s, a man in our church retired early from his decades-long teaching career because his colleagues found out he was a Republican and made his life at work Hell. That was 30 years ago - things have only gotten worse. If there are any Conservatives teaching in the public schools, they have to keep their heads down.

I don't pretend to speak for jones, but I analyze his post in response to Lefty Sig differently. Lefty Sig said "Many teachers". Jones responded with "not just the teachers", meaning he already knows he's not saying all teachers. Jones then went on to "anyone" working in the education system, citing the lunch room employees, bus drivers, etc. "Anyone" here refers to the categories being cited, not the persons. In each category, it's a guarantee that you'll be able to find many leftists/marxists, but not all are, though. So, he's not stereotyping anything.

synthplayerIt is extremely common in our vernacular to say "all" when we mean a huge majority. "Everybody knows..." actually means almost everybody. We all do this but for those who try to be absolutely LITERAL in their speech. To focus in on this human trait and use it to be contrary seems quite pedantic.

I think the conservative employees saw us security guys as possibly more likely to be conservative so we’d have some discussions.
Most of those discussions revolved around how most of the new young teachers are totally indoctrinated in the far left mindset.
Also saying how afraid they are to speak out about their own conservative beliefs.

It’s not just the teachers. During COVID one of our teachers received lesson plan ideas from the state office of public instruction (OSPI, Washington state). On the first page and at the top of the page was a quote by Angela Davis regarding revolution.

I saw posters on walls honoring her as a great African American woman.
I saw instructions posted telling kids what to do if ice comes to your door, how to stand up against the law basically.
I’m so glad I’m out of there but knowing all this eats away at me, especially after what has just happened.
I keep thinking of something I read. They didn’t hate Charlie just because of what he believed. They hated him because our children listened to him.

According to the article there were many left wing groups who had prior knowledge or may have acted with the assassin, and it will be investigated by the Feds. President Trump is requesting 58 million dollars in supplemental funding for the investigation and added security.
