Never miss an
opportunity to STFU

My daughter moved to NY and is doing well there. I am going to make her a CHRISTMAS present I have been planning for a while, and need some help.

Back when she was in high school, we found a real nice 1989 Firebird GTA-350 Tuned port injection, T- tops. So I showed her how to prep the body (how to sand and wet sand until there were no flaws. I did mechanical work on engine, transmission, cooling and suspension. We painted it together, and it came out beautifully. She drove it through the high school, and then we sold it for college.

I found an extra set of tail lamps on Egay, and took the originals when we sold it.

Now, 8 years later, I plan to install them in a home-made wood picture frame. I would like to find some low wattage lights I can install behind the lenses through the back of the wood frame. When plugged in at night I would like it to look like your seeing the car in front of you.

The trick is finding bulbs/sockets that are small enough to fit inside the lamps, and not so bright they would be objectionable in her living room Any suggestions?

LED lights. (as we can find some with low lumen output)

Friend of mine owns a sign shop and works with them.

Let me find you some options.

Any candelabra format LED bulb would be fine, and most local hardware joints will have them and the matching sockets and such.
