That Great Stuff foam crack filler is the spawn of the devil himself.

I managed to get a bit in my fingers today and by the time I get this crap off my prints will be gone!!

I used the same stuff to seal the waterfall of our pond. Got it all over my hands. It takes a couple of weeks to wear off. Big Grin

That is the one can of ass stuff I will wear gloves for before opening.

I used to work with MEK Methyl Ethyl Ketone, one experience has etched the name in my mind.

I was working with a 5 gallon pail of the stuff. I believe I used it to clean the face of hydrophones we were rebuilding.

A tool dropped into the bucket. No problem. I got this thick black glove I'll put on and fish the tool out.

I put my gloved hand in and thought, wow, I can feel how cold the stuff is. I pull my hand out and the glove part that went int the MEK was gone. oops.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

We built a really cool waterfall about 10 years ago. Lost a few pairs of pants and t shirts in the process.

Yeah, that Great Stuff can get out of hand quickly. It's wonderful, and evil.

I believe he is referring to "Open a can of woop-ass".

A gun in the hand is worth more than ten policemen on the phone.

We shared a shop with a bunch of Aerospace Ground Equipment peeps when I was stationed in Homestead, AFB. They used MEK to clean their engine components, so we used it for our stuff too.

When we complained about it, the old-timers told us "Forget it - we had to use R11 in our day and it was worse!" Tough crowd. Big Grin

(R11 refrigerant is low pressure, boiling point around 75F. Apparently used for solvent, though I only ever saw it used in chillers)
