Northeast, a potential storm Wed/Thurs
Actually. That is great advice for everyone to follow. I'm only 42 but I know some are much older. Please be careful everyone.

Weather is saying it's supposed to keep snowing until about midnight, then stop, then start again at 4:00am.

It started out dry but turned really wet pretty quickly. Took a walk to the Wawa at the height of it and the between the wind, the wet snow and the 25ish temperature, it was way less pleasant than I expected. Probably had at least 5" at that point.

It honestly sounds like sleet out there now, but the temp is still well below freezing.

Was just checking things back in my home town of Vestal, NY. They wake to 32 inches and still coming down. In a state of emergency, no travel. I sure dont miss that.

Ended up with just over a foot here in the eastern panhandle of WV. Time to start the snow-blower after I finish the coffee.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Hmmm.. where I'm going is currently saying 3-5 inches. That's not an issue. But can I get there!

Forecast ended up being just the opposite. Got 6-8 inches here. 2 1/2 to 3 feet there. Guess it aint happening, I'm bummed. Gear is ready to go, truck is already half packed. Frown

Small world... I spent my young childhood (1-7ish) in Endicott, just across the river from Vestal.

I have good memories of playing in and tunneling through snow that was well over my head, on more than one occasion.

I probably would feel differently if I had been an adult having to shovel all of that. Big Grin

We ended up with about a foot here. Fortunately the winds didn't pick up as of yet.

We were projected to get 5-8" twelve hours in advance, yet the storm only dropped 2 inches of snow/ice. Once again, the local weather people drastically added to the forecast... which has been the case for the last decade.

Yup, I too lived in Endicott untill about 13 years of age. Not a lot there now after the shoe factory and IBM closed.

Just got through clearing 300 plus feet of driveway with blower.....a foot or so of that white stuff here.
Last year I didn’t even have to start up the snowblower...I hope this isn’t an indication of how our winter is gonna be!
