Lost Grandpa last night Login/Join

Fortunately, I was able to make it down to Florida to be with him for a couple days. Spent 13 hours in the truck Monday to get down there as we knew it would be soon.
His last words and voluntary movement were shortly after I got there. He smiled, reached out and held my hand with both of his, and said I’ll go now.
He stayed with us a couple more days.
I had to get back for work today so I spent 14 hours in the truck getting home. Got the call about an hour after I made it home that he had decided to go on to his new home.

While sad and I’ll miss my Grandpa I know his pain is gone and he is with the Lord.

It is good to know that he is at peace.

Allow yourself to grieve, it is OK.

You will always miss him. Focus n the good times and memories.

Sorry for your loss. I’m glad to hear you where able to take some time to visit one last time.

The human spirit is a remarkable thing and that’s not the first time I’ve heard or seen someone holding on until they could say their last goodbye or know that those they loved where ready to say goodbye.
