I’m attaching the plywood sheeting to the roof of my shed and trying to figure out how close to edge of the facia boards it needs to be. 2x4 facia board on the end of the 2x4 trusses. I know there is a drip edge that goes under the shingles but I’m not sure where it sets. I’ll be finishing the shed in vinyl siding and aluminum facia and soffet just like the house. The roof sheathing really wants to overlap everything else, ideally. But, you can make it up with drip edge and Ice&water if needed. Ok, thanks. That seems more proper. How far overlap? Do not send me to a heaven where there are no dogs. Step Up or Stand Aside: Support the Troops ! Expectations are premeditated disappointments. | |||

Overhang the sheathing far enough that when the metal drip edge is installed, it allows water to drop from it without hitting the facia. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom.
