Silly me I should’ve known mommy is a Muslim, I bet if mommy was named Rose or Sally and was a Murphy or Sullivan it would be all over the fake news. But since it’s a religion of peace it’s not newsworthy. https://freedomoutpost.com/new...eads-7-year-old-son/

I got an e-mail notice of that story yesterday (from Freedom Outpost via Last Resistance). I haven't been glued to TV news so have no idea if any are reporting it (I only watch Fox News and it only intermittently.) flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Your claim in the thread title is simply not true. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018...-7-year-old-son.html https://www.cbsnews.com/news/p...tate-7-year-old-son/ http://www.nydailynews.com/new...fe-article-1.3918871 http://abc11.com/police-mom-us...ear-old-son/3315913/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new...-7-year-old-son.html That's just the first few I grabbed, and many of them, including Fox and CBS were reporting this a day prior to the article you linked to in your opening post. So care to explain why you would choose to post something so obviously untrue? ___________________________________________ "He was never hindered by any dogma, except the Constitution." - Ty Ross speaking of his grandfather General Barry Goldwater "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen, and I say let us give them all they want." - William Tecumseh Sherman

I read about it a couple of days ago here: BREAKING: New York Woman Charged With Decapitating Her 7-Year-Old Child A police line at a crime scene. Scott Olson/Getty Images April 6, 2018 UPDATE (1:00 p.m. EST): According to Sheriff Todd Baxter, "other people inside the home included father, mother in law, and 10 year old brother," reports Stephanie Robusto. See Mouhib's photo below: ORIGINAL STORY: A woman from upstate New York has been charged with the gruesome murder of her 7-year-old son. Thirty-six-year-old Hanane Mouhib of Sweden, New York allegedly stabbed and decapitated her first grade son, Abraham Cardenas, with a knife. Mouhib "cut the victim’s neck, causing the victim’s head to become severed from his body," reads the graphic felony complaint. Mouhib was arraigned Friday morning for the second degree murder charge. Deputies said they were called to the Sweden home at around 8:19 p.m. after they were notified of "a suicidal woman with a knife," reports Rochester First. "Once investigators were able to secure the scene, they found multiple people inside and the body of a seven-year-old boy." Mouhib graduated from The College at Brockport in May of 2011 with a Nursing degree, the college confirmed. Local reporters confirmed the 36-year-old previously worked for Rochester Regional Health from January 2016 to January 2017. Brockport school district officials released a statement on Friday concerning the death of young Abraham, who was a first grader at Barclay Elementary School in the district. "We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of one of our students," said Superintendent Lesli Myers. "Our heartfelt condolences go out to Abraham’s family, friends and all affected by this tragedy. Any loss of life is a loss to our entire community. Our district’s Trauma, Illness and Grief team was immediately mobilized upon learning of this tragedy. We will have counselors available to provide support this weekend and throughout the week for students, staff and families in need." https://www.dailywire.com/news...amanda-prestigiacomo "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Well, I can only guess this, but by saying its a cultural thing, you could then have a defense of the jury being racist or unable to be a jury of peers. Used guns deserve a home too

Why do people feel the need to post isolated horrific stories in the Sigforum Lounge? It's an isolated event not a systemic event that we need to be on the lookout for or learn from. Great point. Doing so is counter-productive even. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual."
