U.S.C §§331, 333 & 21 CFR §156.145(b)(1)(i) make it a federal crime to sell tomato juice that isn't red enough, unless you expressly warn people that the juice has “poor color.”

steve495 Part 156 of the Federal Regulations covers Vegetable Juices and certainly
156.145 does contain extensive regulations concerning Tomato Juice.
As I understand it, this forum does prefer direct links to information.
Although there is an enforcement policy, including reference to criminal violations, I don't see reference to the actual penalties that can be applied. (I certainly may be missing it.)

a1abdjYou would have an easier time making a list of things our government does not regulate than things it does. It will be much shorter. So much so that you likely won't find a single example.

Same holds true with making a list of what our government does 'well' versus what it totally and completely fails at (i.e. virtually everything it touches).
