Marketing the Glock pistol, the most popular brand of handguns in the country, as a "machine gun", the CA legislature passed the bill, AB 1127 weeks ago and Gavvy happily signed it yesterday afternoon. Also includes "Glock-style clones", I hear Gen 3 Glocks of all models and Shadow System handguns are flying off the shelves today. The first state to ban a particular handgun brand, the ban starts next year. And I have stated this years ago, CA politicians were eventually going to go after semi-auto pistols after neutering the semi-auto rifle, and IMO Glock is just the beginning.

Newsom also signed bill SB 704 which requires a background check through an FFL to buy barrels, aftermarket or OEM.

Are all of the Police departments currently fielding Glock switching to other brands, or are they exempt?

I didn't get a chance to read the full text of the bill (extracted in an article)but from what I saw it bans guns with a "dongle" or striker fired guns. That's much more extensive than just Glocks, if true. Anyone have more detail? Not that it matters, I'll not go back unless escorted by Marshalls and wearing handcuffs.

If he wasn't such a chicken, he should go after the criminals and prosecute them the way they should be instead of placating to the criminals/their family and instead including everyone.

Instead of making new laws, let's make jails/prisons a place people don't want to be instead of making them places where prisoners can rest, eat more food and get bigger for when they get out to wreak havoc on society.

It'll never stand up in court, but they don't care. More feel-good BS from the commies.

One can only hope that this and all other bans are repealed by the Supreme Court.

This isn’t about criminals and public safety. It’s about dictatorship, (corrupt) government power and an unarmed populace.

There is a conflict of interest when gov makes laws that erode the public’s ability to protect themselves from gov.

Much like NY even though they pass blatantly unconstitutional laws, it takes years to bring it to court decision. Then barely as the ink is dry they pass another law that essentially circumvents the court decision, leading to more years of delay
Much like the Vietnam cong or taliban they play a waiting / long game, wearing down opposition over years or decades

He cant keep his hands still when he is talking, If he had a Glock he would have his finger on the trigger while aimlessly waving it around.

Gavin’s wife has killed more people than any of my Glocks combined. And Didn’t Kamala alleged she owns a Glock ?

Glock needs to channel their inner Ronnie Barrett and stand on principal and Tell all LE agencies to go kick rocks. I bet they can get screaming deals on p320’s.
