Finals as usual is USA vs Mexico

Well, our neighbors to the north bid fair to shatter the forces of evil tonight, but unfortunately the tricklers managed to eke out a second goal in the last few minutes (estimated) of the game.

True to their evil form, they discovered the Canadians were willing to push back - hard. Vicious habits are hard to break, though, so the tricklers doubled down on the shoving, knees, Oscar-worthy falling down acts, etc. The Canadians gave as good as they got, with outright brawls threatening to break out on at least two occasions. Honestly, after tonight's game, the tricklers can now count on being roundly hated from the North Pole to the Rio Grande forever more.

Now it's up to us. The good news is that the tricklers were visibly shaken. They'd just beaten Honduras, not only outplaying them but physically abusing them on a casual basis. They seemed more than a bit surprised to have found themselves picking on someone a bit closer to their size.

We've beaten Canada before.

The tricklers aren't entirely confident and actually rely pretty heavily on confidence to play at their best.

The U.S. team that beat Qatar tonight is big enough, and has the skills, to play as well as or better than the Mexican team that beat Canada tonight.

Come to think of it, the Qatar team that the U.S. beat tonight could have beaten the Mexican team that beat the Canadians tonight.
